Dear St. Valentine,

Its been a long time since you departed this world. It is rather unfortunate or can i say adds to your mystery that no one knows exactl when you were born or when you died or infact who you are.

According to the Catholic encyclopedia, the saint whose feast was celebrated on a day now known as st.valentine was possibly one of three martyred men.

1. A priest in rome
2. A bisop of interamna
3. A martyr in the Roman province of Africa.

It amuses me that you could have been an african or have lived in Africa. But thats not my point.

Whoever you are, whatever youlived for, people all over the world has turned February 14 into a global lover's day.

I picked up a copy of a Nigerian daily, and even corporate companies were falling over themselves to congratulate their customers one valentines day.

For me, you left behind a global movement of love which is probably lesson in leadership. For others, it is an opportunity to feel and share love towards others.

I honestly wish that people will share mor lovve with the rejected and downtrodden in our communities and countries on lover's day.

Love should go round on february 14 irregardless of your status, colour, age, sex or what have you.

Today, many young people all ove the world will step out of their shadows and give and share love.

Love is all that matters!
