PILLARS

He was not part of the management team, his membership was confirmed six months ago, but when he raises up his hand to contribute to any issue on ground, silence prevails, head rolls in his direction, his sense of contribution and reasoning is unique, he does not speak alone he backs it up with action, when he misses meetings which he rarely does, a huge vacuum is felt and most decisions are adjourned till the next meeting. He has become a pillar to the organisation.

You have always wanted to command such an attention, you have always anted your opinion to count and your ideas respected but try as much as you can, you have not been able to achieve this feat, you may even be the overall leader of your group, you are expected to be the driving force, but somehow you cant sem to grapple with doing all of the work at the same time, here are some tips to help you out.

1. You are the roof.

When you lead an organisation, have it at the back of your mind that you are the roof, as in a building, without the roof, the building is prone to alot of hazards, being the roof does not make you the most effective man or woman in your team, you are privileged to be the roof *leader*, so you have to perfom the role of leaders and you surely need support.

PILLARS.
I watched dilligently as workers in a construction firm fortify an high rise building been constructed with pillars and i was amazed. It struck me that every organisation need pillars.
Pillars are people you can turn to for strength in an organisation.Sometimes when thhe storm comes and the wind rages, the roof feels like caving in, but the pillars hold strong to assist and provide enough support for the roof.
Identify the pillars in your organisation, dont feel threatened by thier vigour and ability to get things pretty much in shape, rather encourage them and delegate proper duties for them to handle on your behalf.
If you fail to recognise and work handin hand with your pillars, they would withdraw and one day, when you need them most, when the storm is at its worst, there would be no pillars and you may come crashing.
Pillars!
