Finally, i take the huge leap.
Encouraged by my girlfriend, i enrolled and commenced my french classes today after more than 2 years of planning to do just that.

In 2005, at the Pan African Youth Leaders Summit which held in Morocco, the realization dawned on me that there were more French speaking countries in West Africa than English speaking countries, i was shocked, especially because when delgates from West African countries met, it was easier for the group to speak in French since French speaking delegates was in the majority, this meant that those of us who only speak English were cut off. after compalining bitterly, we got an interpreter, but there and then i vowed to myself that i will do what it takes to learn French.

More than 700 days later, here am i bringing my wish to fruition. In the next 3 months, i will complete the basic French class and possibly proceed into an advance class if i still can squeeze the time.

Learning French i am sure will provide me with more opportunity to communicate with more people within Africa and even enhance the kind of work that i do (youth development)

Finally, the University dons and lecturers across the public institutions in Nigeria, after series of meetings with the Federal Government suspended their strike and resumed work with immediate effect.

I think Government need to sign an agreement with ASUU that they wont embark on any strike again for the next four years.
